STRIKERS AND SHEARERS.
(To the Editor) Sir,—ln your issue of th? 10th, under "Press Opinion.s," you published the following extract from the Cinistc'hurch Press: "The utterly unreasonable strike at Timaru has had the effect of arousing thousands of people who have been more or less apathetic in the past, and inspiring them with the determination that, come what may, a few irresponsible agitators and their dupes shall not be allowed to dislocate the business of the country and inflict loss upon innocent people just whenever the mood taltes them."
This, to ray mind, would not be misplaced if it was 'madev to read thus: "The utterly unreasonable attitude taken up by the siieepownen; at the conference* recently held witn, the Shearers' Union has had the effect of arousing hundreds of people, who 'have b?en more or less apathetic in the past, and inspiring them with the determination th{\t, come what may, a few irresponsible agitators and their dupes shall not be allowed to dislocate the shearing industry and inflict loss upon innocent people just whenever the mood takes them. Are you listening, J. (*. Wilson ana t3o. ?—I am, etc., \ ROD McRAE. Mastorton, June 11, 1913.
