Mr J. M. Robertson, Liberal member for Cumberland, in reply to question whether any action had been taken in regard to tie American Beef Trust, in South America, in order to safeguard the British meat supply, said the Government was aware that apprehension was caused among British firms engaged in the Argentine trade. He rmderstood the Argentine Government was considering the situation, and Britain would view with satisfaction the steps Argentina might take to maintain unrestricted trade.
