TO-DAY'S WEATHER.

NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening wired as follows: Strong south to south-westerly winds have prevailed, with cold and showery weather. The barometric pressure has increased in the south, but remains relatively lower to the northward. Present indications are for strong south-easterly winds, with an easterly tendency. Squally and showery wea,ther is probable northward of East Cape to Kawhia in Cook Strait and between East Cape and Banks Peninsula, with cold and changeable conditions generally, though fair on the West Coast of the South Island. The barometer has a rising tendency everywhere.
