WAIPOUA STOCK SALE. Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua '(Masterton) sale yards on Wednesday, June 11th, when they offered a yarding of sheep and cattle as advertised, which met with keen competition, arid the whole yarding was sold at the following rates:—Two and 4-tooth wethers 16s 5d to 16s 6d, ewe Jambs 9s, wether lambs 9s 3d, shorn forward, lambs & 6d, fihom lambs 6s Id to 6s sd, small 2-tooth ewes lis, f.m. empty ewes 6s lid, cull ewes 3s 9d, cull lambs 4s 7d, fat ewes 14s lid, fat and forward lambs 13s. Forward cows £5 4s, store cows, £2s 9d, £3 to £3 7s; 18-months steers £2 17s, 3-year steers £5, weaner heifers 25s 6d. Drought yearling filly £los ss, light yearling filly £4 Is.
MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report:— We had, only a fair entry of sheep at Solway yesterday, but these meeting with good competition, we made a total clearance at prices rather better than those ruling last week. F.M. ewes in lamb made to 14s 7d, good mouth do. 10s Bd, small 2-tooth wethers 12s 9d, cull lai»h» 6s.
\, PAHLATUA .STOCK SALE. ' I Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—-We offered an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep and a. good yarding of cattle to a large attendance, the balk of tlieWbeep being bought for the Wairarapa and. Manawatu'. There was good demand for good' breeding ewes, g»od hrabs and wethers. Poorer sorts and small lambs were slightly easier. We easily topped the market for breeding ewes, obtaining the good price of 18* Id for 280 6-tootb.s and 4-year-olds, sold on behalf, of Mr H. B. Letbbridge. The bulk of the cattle were sold at late rates, oow-s with condition selling better. Quotations:— Good 6-tooth 4 and 5-year breeding ewes, 12s 6d, 13s 9d to 18s Id; good mixed aged ewes, lis 6d to 13s lOd; full-mouth ewes, 8s to 9 g 8d; fat ewes, 14s 2d to 14s 8d ; forward ewes, 10s Id to lis 3d; store oows, 5s 93 to 6s 6d; 2 and 4rtooth wethers, 15s to 16s lOd; fat and forward wethers 17s 3d to 18s ldi; good lambs, 9s 4d 10s Id to lis 9d; medhmi lambs, 7s Id to 8s Id; s-nall lambs, 4« 4d to 5s 7d; springing heifers, £7 10s; heifers in calf, £4 6s; forward conditioned cows, £2 !%, £3 ISs to £4 Gs; store cows, £1 lis, £2 2s to £2 17s; 2-year steers, £3 17s 6d to £4 2s.
