A DEMENTED WOMAN.
KILLS HER CHILD. (Received Last Night 8.20 o'clock.) SYDNEY, June 11. Clara Gooley, a .manned woman, who cut her infant's throat fatally, and then attempted to cut her own, was acquitted of murder, on the ground that she was not in her right mind at the time the deed was committed. She was ordered to be detained in prison during the Governor's pleasure.
