BIG BUILDINGS.

Latest planned additions to New York architecture include * central Court House, which will be circular in' form, occupying four city blocks, and contain 63 court rooms. The cost, according to the plans which have been accepted from among 22 competitors, will be ten million dollars. A new ,35-storey office building is to be erected at the S.E. corner of 72nd Street and West End Avenue, and devoted to physicians. It will have many novel features, including elevators large enough to hold an automobile, so that patients can run their cars aboard and whisked up to' any storey desired, there to run out again and to any office as though they were on a street. The entire operation, ground and building; will call for an outlay of about 2.000.0(H) dollars. What is expected to be the largest single mortgage on record, is talked of for tho new sky-scraper, the foundations of'which arc now being laid on the site of the old Ennitable Building, bounded by Broadway, Pine, Ceda-r, and Nassau Street. The amount has be-m stated at 63 millions.
