"THE INCRIMINATING CARD."
Both Saturday* sessions at the T.P. Electrio Theatre brought packed houses. The evening's change was a well selected variety and included the 6500 feet Ones photo-play, "The Incriminating Card," the plot of which is as follows: —Hensor and his wife live apparently happy in their chateau. Among their friends Horace and Andrew appear most prominently, each being madly in love with Lucy. Horace i«, however, the favoured lover, if any preference is shown, and Andrew inwardly chafes at the apparent wreck of his hopes. The { 'Baron,- Horace, and Andrew are at the club, when Lucy arrives in her motor to convey the Barori home. All three friends go down to see Lucy, and Andrew sees Horace slip .a note into her hand. This incident further excites Andrew's jealous anger, and he determines to, have revenge upon his favoured rival. He meets Lucy in the park as she is out riding and declares his for her. She indignantly repulses him, and after venting her scorn upon him, she leaves him. At the elub the friends once more meet, and Andrew jokingly prevails upon Horace to give him a note of acknowledgement for a dog he has sent him in order to procure his signature to use in his scheme of revenge. Horace and Lucy are having a clandestine correspondence, of an apparent innocent character, their actual messages . being written under the stamps, which have to be damped off before the words can be deciphered. The Baron comes unexpectedly into his wife's room and watches her damp the stamps and take them off a letter which he afterwards discovers has been written by Horace. His suspicions are now aroused, and he intercepts/ one of Horace's cards to his wife and dipcovers an assignation conveyed in the message under the stamps. He immediately seeks out Horace and accuses him of perjury. A stormy scene ends in a challenge, and preparations are made for. a, duel to take place next morning. The Baron goes on his way home, but is murdered by, some unknown person, and is shortly afterwards discovered dead in the public street. The police are called and' the body searched, and ■a celebrated detective takes the case in hand for investigation. Several very interesting situations follow, and a very exciting finale is disclosed. Another special drama k "At 'the End of the Line.".
