U.S.A TARIFF BILL
PERSISTENT LOBBYING RE-
PORTED
(Received Last Night, 11.30 o'clock.) WASHINGTON, June 6.
The Senate Investigating Committee has been informed of the persistent lobbving against the .wool and sugar Bills. Senators specified instances where improper pressure was brought to bear to prevent them from voting with the Democrats in favour of free wool. It is stated that detectives frequently shadowed Senators with a view to discovering anything to bo used against them.
