LIBERAL MAJORITY. LABOUR STRONG IX THE SENATE RETURNS STILL COMING IN. Received This Morning, 12.10 o'clock SYDNEY, June 6." _ ino only variations in the position is that Labour has slightly increased the leads at Illawarra and Ballarat. Mr Nieoll, Victorian senator ept x within striking distance, while MrMoKissich was tlu- lowest Labourite.
The "noes"- strengthened their position in regard to the referenda, which is pretty well accepted by both sides.
Now that Labour will win the Tllawarra and Ballarat seats, giving the Lib'rals a majority of one in tlm and that the Liberals will win at least six seats in the Senate, will leave Labour twelve. This added to eighteen unvaeated seats will make the new Senate: Labour 30; Liberal 6. This is the disturbing factor.
Uncounted absent however, have to be reckoned with for some days yet. The Hon A. Fisher consulted soma of his colleagues to-day. but nendinjj the final returns, nothing will be dc« cid~?d until Cabinet meets on Thura* day.
