EMPIRE AIR-FLEET.
AEROPLANE FOR NEW ZEALAND
(Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.) ! LONDON. June 6.
Speaking at. the Imperial Air-fleet Committee's dinner, Lord Desborough presented the Hon. T. Mackenzie (New Zealand High Commissioner.', with the aeroplane Brittania. and in doing so eulogised New Zealand's enterpris ? in accepting the Committee's gift, which, ho hoped, would be the forerunner to similar presentations to other oversea Dominions. This would inaugurate an Empire air-fleet. The Hon. T. Mackenzie thanked the Committee for the gift. Sir Joseph Ward proposed the toast of "Commerce," and urged that Britain, Canada and. New Zealand arrange a twenty-one days' steam service between Britain and New Zealand.
