SHEEP DOG ASSOCIATION.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the North Island Sheep Dog Association was hold on Wednesday, June 4th, in the A. and P. rooms at Masterton. Mr A. C. Morton, of Hunterville, was voted to the chair, in the absence of the hon. president. The following delegates were present: Messrs McKinnon (Mohaka), R. McLeod (Martinborough), W. Whyte (Tikokino), H. Clark (Central H. 8.), P. H. Tocker (Egmont), R. Mcilullan (East Road). W. B. Grant (Taranakh, W. H. Gaisford (Bush District), A. McLeay (Masterton), A. Fletcher (Moawhango), D. McDonald (East Coast). Spooner (Awakino). C. S. Havs A. Melkle (Wanganui), A. McGlas«ha.n (Te Pohui). W. Cuthbertson (Takapau). Correspondence was read, and the secretary was instructed to write Hohaka re rule books for the natives, also to Gisborne Club, am? n-sk them to reconsider their complaint. The secretary submitted a report which showed the Association to be in a healthy condition. The accounts presented were passed for payment. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Patron. Mr W. 0. Rutherford, Cnlverden : Hon. President. Mr R. D. D. McLean. Napier; Vice-Presidents, Messrs H. Speed, J. Hunter. A. C. Morton. H. H. Beetham, E. Goodwin. W. MrKinnon; hon. treasurer. Mr W. H. Gaisford, Orin<n; secretnrv, Mr W. Cuthbertson, Takaoau, Hvß?' !^: * .>, Messrs A. Fletcher nnd W. Whyte moved and that the next annual ehamm'onship don- trials be held at Wa.nganui.~Carried.

It was decided thV the secretary receive a bonus of £lO. Notices of motion were handed in from the Tikokino and East Coast Clubs. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr J. Lilico for his kindness''in presenting two valuable pups for the N.I. championship trial. # In replying, Mr Lilico made a similar, offer for .next year, which was received with acclamation.

Votes of thanks were passed to the following:—The retiring -officers:! Mr Gaisford for his valuable service in preparing the illuminated address for Mr W. 0. Rutherford; and the chairman.

The delegates, at the close of the meeting, signed the illuminated address for Mr W. 0. Rutherford in favour of thair respective clubs.
