WITHDRAWALS OF GOLD
(Received Last Night 11.30 o'clock.) LONDON, June 5.
Continuous withdrawals of gold; are being made on the German account. A sum of £1,700,000 lias been withdrawn in a fortnight.

(Received Last Night 9.45 o'clock.) SYDKEY, June 5.
Mr Justice Heydon, in fining seventy ferry hands to-day, said the way in which penalties imposed during the past few months- had been treated had convinced him that the Industrial Court must not be considered something to be laughed at. People breaking the law must pay.
