LAND TRANSACTIONS.
IN THE MASTEEWON DISTRICT,
In spite of the tightness of the money market, large deals in land and stock have been effected in the Mast«rton district of late. Probably never before in the history of the Wairarapa has there been such; a keen enquiry for good grazing farms. The following sales hare been recently effected through the agency of Mr W. H. Cruickshank, land agent, of Masterton:—On account of Mr W. D. Watson 224 acres, Ngaionui, to Mr H. 0. Toogood; on account of Mr W. M. Lang, 2740 acres, known as "Glencrieffe," Bideford, together with 5000 sheep, 300 cattle-, and plant, to Mr A. J. Lord; on account of Mr A. J. Stonewigg, 3767 acres, Poro, Poro, M-astertoii, to the Government; on account of Mr T. Bransfield, 715 acres, Lower Valley, together with all stock and plant, to Mrs Harris; on account of Mr A. J. Stonewigg; 278 acres, Opaki, known as "Waipipi," together with stud stock and plant, to Mr 0. H. Bunny; on account of Mr Donald Fraser, 3010 acres, known as Riversdale Station, together with 4300 sheep, 864 cattle, and plant, to Mr W. M. Lang. There is also a keen demand for town and suburban properties, and the following sales are reported:— On account Mr P. L. Hollings, house and i-acre land. Dixon Street; on accofunt Mr'F. Hoßoway, house 7 rooms, shed, etc.,.atid 3i acres, Lansdciwne; on acoount Mr O. Si Spencer, .house 6 rooms, stable, etc., 3 acres land, Lansdowne; on account Mr H. S. Swan, Si acres land, building site, Adams' Estate, Lansdowne.
