DISCUSSION IN THE SENATE.
CABINET CONSIDERING THE WHOLE QUESTION.
(Received June 4, 9.30 a.m..) OTTAWA, June 3. The Canadian Senate debated the question of "the admission of Sikhs. Senator Power expressed a hope that the Sikhs woula not be roused to boiling point against Canada because of the expulsion of their women and children. Mor© than half the Sikhs who had come to Canada had already returned home. Senator J. A. Lougheed, on behalf of the Government, said the Cabinet was considering the whole question. It was difficult for the Government to flout the feeling of British Columbia against Orientals, but he hoped a solution would be found.
