COW-TESTING.

Notwithstanding the success that has attended the farmers who have made a practice of consistently testing the individual cows of their herds, there are still to be. found men who do not, or will not, l believe that any benefits can accruelfrom the practice. In their eyes tie experience of others counts for/nothing, and they go on year in and year out milking cows which are "boardjrs" of the worst type, ihe efficacy of careful individual testing has been proved beyond dispute and faithfully kept records are the only reiable guide to th 3 qualifications ot a cow as a pro-; ducer of butter fat. The dairy farmer who fails to keep records is like the business man who fails to keep books and soon-ar or later ho is left behind by his more progressive neighbours.
