POWERS REPLY TO ALLIES.
QUESTION OF STATUS
(Received Last Night, 11.55 o'clock.) LONDON, May 23. The Powers have replied to the Allies' request for modifications. Jt is believed the discussion will entail delay, in the hope that Turkey amd the Allies will reach peace as soon as possible. The Turkish delegates objected to the Allies' modifications in regard to the Aegean Sea, urging that if Turkey is bound by the Powers' decision, the Allies should be similarly treated. Reuter states that the Allies' delegates on the Financial have a similar status to the Powers, exopt on questions affecting the Powers and Turkey, on which the Allies' functions will be of a consultative nature.
