' GISDORNE, Last Nigh,t., An agreement 3iaa been arrived at between the local naeat freezing companies and the Slaughtermen's Union. The latter' is a new body, composed almost entirely of strike-foreakers. The agreement embraces moat of the existing conditions of employment. The pay is' to be 27s 6di per hundred. Provision is made for the employment" of learners, .which -was one of the. bones of contention in the dispute last summer. One learner may foe employed to six experts. The old Unionists hare cited the, companies to appear before the Conciliation Board on June 10th, in connection with fresh demands on the lines of tiiose presented during the strike.
