IN THE CARRICK THEATRE.
TROUBLE ABOUT A PLAY
(Received May 19, 10 a.m.) LONDON, May 18. A dispute regarding the ownership of the acting rights of Henri Rothschild's coming play, "Croesus," led to lively scenes at the Garrick Theatre. Mr Hansen, the American, who had obtained an interim injunction, claiming the sofe. rights and that he was the employer of Arthur Bourchier was forcibly ejected .by Bourchier's staff. Bourchier, securing a discharge of the injunction, invaded the theatre and evict:d Hansen's people, chairs being used as weapons. Several persons were 1 injured on both sides. Hansen has been arrested for threatening Bourchier with violence.
