The old saw that "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" should be taken to heart by Mr H. C. Robinson and his partv of three—one of whom is "doubtful." When the party seeks to show that attendance at a High School in Ma-steiton would be higher than it is at the District High .School, because it happens to have become so in two or three northern townships?, where the conditions are quite dissimilar, it makes itself supremely ridiculous. For the benefit of Mr Robinson, who displays stupendous ignorant; 1 of the whole subject, we would point out that free place pupils are those who have secured either proficiency certificates or scholarships.
