DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
A STRANGE RESOLDTION
On the motion of Mr B. J. Rayner, the following resolution was carried at the conclusion of the High School Party's meeting in the Lansdowne school last evening "That the Masterton District High School Committee are hereby requested to make public all the correspondence that has passed be; tureen themselves and the Wellington Education .Boird relative to the vacancy that has occurred in-the District High School staff, and to the applications to refill the same, by placing the said information at the disposal of the representatives of the press, and thit a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the chairman of that- Committee by the Chairman of this meeting." On the above resolution being referred to the chairman of the Masterton District High School Committee last evening,- Mr Richard Brown stated that no application had been made to his Committee for copies of the correspondence referred to. He is not aw.ire of any correspondence of any particular interest to the public. If the resolution of the Lansdowne meeting was received by him., it wonld he dealt with in the usual wa-y .:it the next meeting of the Committee.
