POSITION MORE PERILOUS
(By Telegraph.•—Press Association.) . MARTON, Last Night. The Tyser liner indrabaiah is now in a more perilous position. To-day she came in a good distance, and is now within her own length of the shore. When the tide is out and the sea normal the vessel could be reached cm horseback. At high tide the sea is breaking right over her, and she iy rolling considerably. The sec is not subsiding. Tho crew is st:l: aboard. The tug Te-'awhiti arrived about 9 a.m., but sailed away. Tlie chances of towing the liner off are doubtful, hut die still has the cargo abpai'd. Tlio beach is sandy arid shelving, with a strong undertow prevailing.
HOPES IfOR RE FLOATING. TIDES FAVOURABLE. WANGANUI, Last Night. Arrangements are becng pushed forward for the re-floating operations in connection with the Indrabarah, and the officials speak most hopefully of the attempt to be made to put tho big liner into . commission again. "The prospects are very bright," said one official to-night, "and one thing is in our favour. Fortunately the ship came in on neap tides, so thatthe tides will be making, and should assist materially in successful floating." Another .official to-night said that in view of the latest information lie had received, he could not understand the message telegraphed from Marton, ans was disinclined to accept it as accurate.
