MEETING OF GENERAL COM-

MITTEE

The monthly meeting of the Genera! Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held in the A. and P. rooms on Saturday last, there being pnj&ent—Messrs H. Morrison (chairman), D. Foreman, J. Strang. W. D. Watson, A. McMaster, W. Cooner, T). McGr.gor, B. Rayn-er, W. J. Welch, A. J. Percy, W. 11. Buick, R.. ouay, G. E. Allen, O. C. Cooper, ,J. C. Mclvillo P ; D. Cnselberg, H. Evans and E. Harp r. The report of a special meeting of tli? Giround iCommittee, in which a number of improvements to th, \ grounds were recommended, was adopted. Messrs W. .Richmond (Hastings), and Paxil Hunter (Porangaihau), forwarded cheques for judges' fees, as donations to the Association. It was decided that Mr Moore's rose bowl be sent to Mr Ernest Shoz-t for the ensuing year.

Association intimat?d that a Dominion show would be held at Auckland on December 10th, 11th 12th and 13th.—It was decided to inform the Auckland Association that this Committee would do all in its power to procure entries for th show. The report of the Ground Committee meeting, held in the morning, was read. The caretaker's report-on' the work done during the month was „The SscretaVy regwrtxl; having received seven tenders for grazing the (holding paddocks, that 'Stewart, at. £ls, -bring. accepted. It was decided to reeomend th© Finance Committee to increase the caretaker's salary to £IOO. The Finance Committee's report was read and adopted. The Secretary reported receipts for the month amounting to £4l 14s,- and expenditure £B3 16s lid. The debit balance as per pass book was £lB7 2s lOd. Accounts amounting to £6 16s lid were recommend for payment. The Secretary was instructed to make a special canvass during the month for outstanding subscriptions, and prepare a list of subscriptions outstanding at the next meeting. The recommendation of the Ground Committer for the increase of the caretaker's salary was approved. It was decided that it be a recommendation to th * Ram Fair Committee to amend rule 18.
