FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. Tlie fortnightly meeting of ■ the Wairarapa Rugby .Uniouii was held on Saturday evening, Mr A. Booth presiding'over a good attendance of dedelegates. Mr D. K. _ogan wrote, suggesting the issue of season tickets, in connection wdtih the Union's, fixtures. It was decided uiat the matter be left for future consideration. The secretary of the Masterto > Club wrote, stating that they would be unable to place a senior team in the field this season. The syndicate, owning the Masterton Showgrounds, wrote, agreeing to rent the grounds for a stated sum this season, instead of a gate percentage basis, as in previous, years. The Wellington Rugby U<riion wrote asking for a match with Wairarapa on June .3rd, at Wellington, and stating terras thoy would be prepared to allow. It was also intimated that Wellington senior, junior and prob j ably third grade teams would visit ! Wairarapa during the season. j

It was decided to send a ssaiior Wairarapa' team to play Wellington on the date mentioned, and upon "th? terms offered. It was decided that a contmittee. consisting of Messrs A. E. Booth and E. McKenzie, make arrangements for obtaining design® and prices, from Wairarapa firms, for the Cooper Third-grade Shield, and report at a later meeting. A motion to appoint a finance committee, to relieve the Union of a certain amount of business, and that the Union delegate m.-et less fr?que.ntly, was negatived, it being deemed advisable that the delegates meet fortnightly as at present. It was decided to play a North v. South junior representative match, at the conclusion of sach round, the games to be played alternately at Master ton. Carterton and Grey town. The secretary was instructed to write to the Bush Rugby Union, asking if it is possible to arranige a junior representative match with them this s^as»n. It was decided that referees report for classification players out of their grade, in tlie lower fixtures.. Two third-class Dalefield players were classified junior. Mr A. E. Booth, Wairarapa delegate to the N.Z. Hugby Union, reported on the business transacted at th© anrmuil meeting in Wellington last weeje. Mr Booth was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his report.

REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. Mr Booth also reported having interviewed delegates from various Unions, while in Wellington, and had been able to arrange the following suggested dates for representative matches this season, subject to the confirmation of the respective Unions August 30th. Wairarapa v. Canterbury at Christchurch; Sept. 3rd. 1 Waiiampa v. Southland at: Invercargill; S?pt 6th. Wairarapa v. j Ota go at Dunedin; July 19th. v. Hawkes Bay, at Wairarapa; August 27th. v. Taranaki at Wairarapa; Sept. 11-th. v. Wanganui at Wairarapa; Sept 27th. v. Wellington at Wairarapa. Matches will also be played in Wairarapa by Horowhemia and Manawat\i, on dates to be fixed. Auckland has also agreed to play in Wairarapa if a suitable date can be arranged to suit their toUr. The Wairarapa senior representatives will also visit the Bush district, and a, Wellington junior representative team will visit Wairarapa.
