LONDON WOOL SALES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The High Commissioner a cable, dated London, May 7th, regarding the closing of the third series of colonial wool sales, states that the market has been irregular, but closed firm. Holders are confident of there being a continuance of high prices. Superior and meuiffm m.eHhQs were unchanged at opening rates,: inferior were slightly lower, and fine crossbreds and medium cross Breds virtually unchanged. Coarse crossbreds were slightly dearer; 24,300 bales of New Zealand wool were held over. The estimated value of superior -merinos is from Is ljd to l s 3£d, medium lid to Is Id, inferior BJd to IOJd, fine crossbreds ls Id to ls 3d, medium crossbreds lOd to ls, coarse crossbreds 9sd to Is.
