KING OF THIEVES.
SYDNEY'S BURCLARIES.
AN ARREST MADE.
{Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, May 8. The burglar who entered Alderman Kelly's residence and stole a quantity of silverware, left a note signed. "King of Thieves.'' This morning tne Sun newspaper received a telephone call, asking if anything was heard of a burglary at the residence of Kerr, a bookmaker, living at Coogee, the speaker declaring himself to be the "King at Thieves." The Sun communicated with Kerr, who, on making an examination, found his office burgled and £SO worth of postal notes and cheques gone. A note signed "King of Thieves" waa left on the table, thanking the owner for cigars, which were appropriated. A man was arrested in the city, having some of the missing property in his possession.
