NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Jkfeteorological Office, thig evening wired as follows}— Southerly winds have predominated, with changeable and showery weather, especially in northern and southernmost' districts, but am improvement has taken place on the East Coast. Conditions are very unsettled, and the present position is most unusual' with a low barometer in the south and below normal everywhere. Present indications are for variable and strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency. A further fa3l in the barometer is probable fox a westerly low pressure area due to pass in the south in about 36 hours. Cold, unsettled and showery weather may be expected in all parts of the country.
