SUPERFLUOUS HAIR.
Few things are more annoying to j refined and sensitive ladies than superfluous hair on any part of the Jure that we publish herewith a recipe ! face or body, and it ig with real pleasreceived from a reader who states that by its use she in a very short i time completely and permanently re- ; moved a stubborn growth of hair from ' her upper lip and chin. This recipe calls for >li drams Pulverised Sulthiue Concentrate, 2J dTams Zinc Oxide, P.B. and 1 dram of powdered Orrie Root, which should be thoroughly mixed and put in ft wide mouth bottle. For use, mix a little of the powder into a paste on a plate by adding a few drops of water. Apply with a narrow knife blade and remove at the end of two minutes with the back of the knife, when the dissolved hair will come with it. Repeat at intervals of tw-o days. Each time the growth will be less, until it entirely disappears. A good Jon-greasy cream, such as Creme To-Kalon, may be used after each application. KICKED ON THE KNEE. "I was kicked on the knee by one of my horses," writes Mr Duncan H. Stevens, South Street, Feilding, N.Z., "and am confident that but for Chamberlain's Pain Balm I would have been unfitted for work. I coxild not stand for hours but applied Chamberlain's Pain Balm freely and after , applying it once the next day was ! quite recovered." Sold by all cherni ists and storekeepers. *
