AFFECTING LOCAIL BODIES. (By Telegraph.—Fress Association.) HOKITIKA. Last Night. In the Magistrate's Court, the hearing was concluded of a charge against a member of the Charitaible Aid Board of baying received payment, for work done previous to his appointment. The Magistrate (Mr Hewitt) inflicted a fine of £5 Is to enable an appeal, if desired. The defendant signified! his intenti.n of lefunding the iimcrant of £2l affected.
