SCHOONER SEVERELY ... DAMAGED. ABANDONED BY THE CREW. (Received Last Nig Tit, 8.45 o'clock.*> SUVA, May 5. The schooner Lyman D. Foster, bound from I'uget Sound to Sura with a million foot c;f lumber, was caught in a hurricane at Turtle Island, in the Lan Group, on the 15th ultimo. She was dismasted, and her rudder and all her boats wore damaged. A third-.of the cargo was swept away. Captain Hillman and the crew of ten built a raft and ahandoned the ship on Thursday. They reached the island of Kabara, and thence proceeded by a cutter to Levuka, which they reached on Sunday. The cargo was insured at Lloyds.
