' At the resumed inquest on the • girl Esther Porter, aged 14 years, wlio resided at Bankstown, and whose body was found near the Bunehbowij Railway Station on .March 5 last. Chard, the baker, who was arrested in connection with the affalir. gave evidence that he wa.s very frienoly with the family, of the girl, and drove her in bis cart on two occasions He had never at any time made an appointment with her, and did not sen her on the day she disapgeared. He knew nothing about the cause of, her death The Coroner returned an open v?v. diet, and agreed that it was not a case of murder.
