Niven 1924, F. W. Williams .18-15, W. J. McGrath 1855; J. I). Ormjond 1817, H. J. Holder 1789, D. MoGrath jun. 380. Messrs Brown, Orniond and Holder advocated the completion otf the breakwater harbour, while Messrs Niven, WilliamS ind W. J. MoGrath supported the construction of the inner harbour to admit vessels of deep draught. The election exoited a good deal of interest owing to the rival tickets.
