General Hertzog, in a bitter speech, accused General Botha of ..ujHicity, of misrepresenting facts, •f subverting and abandoning the party. General Botha made a dignified, impassioned and exhaustive reply, and declined to put the country to the expense and inconvenience of a genera] election,' merely because General Hertzog desired to re-enter office.
