TOWN HALL PICTURES. The programme which has been attracting such crowds to the Town Hall during the past few nights terminated last night, when the audience was unusually large, and prolonged applause greeted the screening of the various films. To-night the management will commence a new ■series of the latest productions from Europe and America. The star attraction, "The Hindoo Curse," is a wonderfully dramatic photo-drama, portraying in realistic colours ' the mysterious episodes of Eastern life. The story circles round two adventurers, Guy Itandall and Jack Lovell, who are caught cheating during a game of cards at the English army headquarters. They leave to go to the hill country with their Hindoo servant, Sukin, and attend- a festival which is being held in honour of one "of the Hindoo gods. Under Sukin's guidance they hide in the temple, and when tho High Priest is alone counting the offerings, they strike hi in insensible and steal the money, and follow this hy taking some costlv jewels from the head of the god. Sukin warns them that a curse will follow them for the latter deed. The curse comes true, as Randall, who, with his 'confederate, after making their way to England, is killed by the Hindoo avengers on lu« wedding day. The entire drama i s full of absorbing interest, but must be seen to be realised.
