Opportunity is being taken by the' Committee of the Manawatu and West; Coast A. and P. Association during the visit of His Excellency the Governor to opera the above function to also have the latest additions to the Exhibition Buildings declared open by Hi,s Excellency. These additions comprise a new front (in which the turnstilefe have been installed) an addition of 50 feet on the aieW Produce Hall, and the covering in of the space 'between the latter building and the Machinery Hall. ' The improvements now heing completed will be a great boon as, quite apart from the big increase in size of the Exhibition, visitors will mow be able to make the round under cover. Amongst the new features introduced into this year's programme are divisions for fat .stock, art needleAvork, amateur photography and the addition to the poultry division of classes for cats. The Wanganui-Te Ante annual matches will again be played off on Wednesday, 18th . une, whilst Thurs- . clay is reserved for the Collinson Cup, Maiden Hunters, push ball and tug of war competitions. , Lovers of the Soccer game have their innings on Friday, afternoon, when strong teams from Palmerstan North and Wellington meet to try conclusions. The milk-testing competition for farmers' sons and daughters, public and high school students, is again scheduled, and it is hoped that this valuable educational class will be well filled: • Exceptionally full schedules of classes in the horticultural, agricultural, home industries, photography and needlework divisions are. provided. Inquiries at the Secretary's office point to the fact that the forthcoming fixture is making towards another record. The applications for machinery space include many notable exhibitors who have for some time past abstained from showing their wares, and space is already at a premium, not-, withstanding the recent additions. A large influx of visitors is anticipated, as in addition to tlie Dairy Conferences some of the Breeders' AssociaI tions have arranged to hold meetings in Palmerston North during Winter F Show Week.
