LATE COMMERCIAL.
GREYTOWN STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.,. report on their Greytown sale as follows : A fairly good entry of sheep and a- small entry of cattle were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Sheep sold readily, and we had a good clearance at prices highly satisfactory to vendors. Cattle also met with a good sale. The following is a list of prices—Small lambs 5s 3d to os 9d, medium do. 6s 7d to 6s lid, b.f. do to.9s 7d,, woolly do 7s 2d to 7s 4d, f.m. ewes to Bs, good-conditioned do. 9s 6d ,10s 3d, to lis, ewes in lamb to lis 9d, weaner heifers 30s, yearling steers (small) 35s to £3 Is, 18-mos. steers £3 2s, empty cows £3, cows and calves £4. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We submitted a fair entry of sheep to a good attendance of buyers. . Competttion was keen for all classes, and we are pleased to report a total clearance. Medium lambs made 7s, store ewes 7s 2d, aged ewes- in iamb 9s 9d.
