THE SCHOOL EXCURSION.
TO-DAY'S ARRANGEMENTS. The Maetertoh, Fernridge and Tinui school children, with their parentis and guardians, will leave for Wellington by special train at 6.30 o'clock : this morning, arriving in Wellington about 11 o'clock. An alteration has ' been made in the arrangements on the arrival at Wellington. On arrival at the Park, tea will be waiting, and a supply of food for those who are not provided with it. The special trams will return to the Ferry Wharf at 12.52, and the excursionists will leave for the man-o'-war at 1 o'clock. The ferry steamer will return at 2.30, arriving'at- the Ferry Wharf at 2.45, in good time for the return train journey. .Mr Jackson will wire from Cross Creek the number for the train journey and for tea and food. The early excursion will probably take over nine hundred passengers. The following passengers have been l>ooked at the respective schools: — Masterton District High School, 20 teachers, 412 scholars, 8 committeemen, 160 parents and guardians; Fernridge, scholars and adults, 45; Timid and Mangatfakeha, 20; St.'Patrick's scholars and adults, 120; total 785.
