THE WOOL BILL. AN ALIEN LAND BILL. (Received Last .Night, 5.5 o'clock.) WASHINGTON, April 2J. The Republicans in the House of Representatives are considering the question of the introduction of the Payne-Hill Wood Bill in the form of an amendment to the Democratic measure. A caucus of the party deferred action in the matter. President Woodrow Wilson has decided to defer action in regard to the Californian Alien Lands Bill, pending the passage *>f a measure by the State legislature. *' The President has had frequent conferences with the Japanese Ambassador on the question, and these have aroused great interest throughout th 0 United States.
