CLEARING SALE. Messrs James Macintosh re-ported having had a very successful clearing sale on Thursday, April 17th, when they sold, on account of Win. D. Watson, Esq., Te Ore Ore, the whole of .his live stock and implements. There was a very good' attendance, buyers being present from all parts of the district, and the arrangements being very good, everything was sold under the hammer, with the exception of the dairy heifers, which were not sold. All the stock were in good condition and brought good prices. The dairy cows were very well competed for, and .brought from £7 to £l3. The prices realised were: —Oovvs in' milk (winter cows), £7, £9 10s, £lO, £ll, £l2, £l2 10s, £l2 15s, £■l3; Jersey bulls £4 19s, £5; fat and forward cows £5 2s, 4, 6 and 8tooth ewes 13s 6d, f.m. ewes 12s, shorn lambs 9s Id, wolly lambs 9s 3d, b.f. forward lambs 10s 9d, rams Os to lis. Honses: Brown gelding £26 10s, chestnut gelding, 3 years, by Pirate, £l4 15s; chestnut gelding, 5 years, by Saracen, £6 10s; yearling filly, by Pirate colt, £2o; chestnut yearling filly, by Canada, £6 ss. Implements sold at full clearing .sale rates. Fowls Is 5d to 2<> 3d each.
