AN AUCKLAND INCIDENT. (By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. A young woman when in the Mt. Eden district on Saturday evening was Waylaid by a stranger who, coming suddenly upon her, dealt her a violent blow on the head, sending her to the footpath. Fortunately others in the.vicinity heard her .scream, and ran to her assistance. The assailant then made off. The young woman soon recovered ,and was taken home. This is not the first case of the kind reported recently.
