AN AMERICAN MILLIONAIRE. APPOINTMENT WITH A LADY. (Received April 15, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 14. The disappearance of Mr Joseph Martin, an American mllonaire, who intended to return to Tennessee last Saturday, but a hose battered hat and pocket-book (the hitter being ripped open) were found on the bank of the Thames, a« causing excitement. Mr Martin, in evening dress, left the Automobile Club at 11 o'clock on Thursday, after stating that he had an appointment with a lady. He wae seen hailing a taxi-cab in St. James's Street. A workman found the pocket-book at 5 o'clock next morning in the Belvedere Road, a poor-class neighbourhood by the river side.
