COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.
ORDINARY MEETING. An ordinary meeting cf the MusterJ ton Competitions Society was held in the Dominion liaTl yesterday afternoon, there being "present—Messrs R. JT. .Totmg (in thei chair), A. W. "* Magg, GET. OP. Greeii. E. H. ton, J. Georgeson, C. Spencer Oompton, M. R. Varnham and 0. N. C. Prngnell. Mr Byron "Brown.iOtaki. wrote, complimenting the Society on the excel]"" 1 syllabus drawn up for next oomp&ti_,tions. T The Secretary was instructed to , ! Acknowledge the letter, and thank Mr Brown for his kindly remarks. The' iDannevirke Evening News wrote asking for a share of tlie Society's advertising. It was decided to leave the matter 1 "rii the hands of tha advertising committee. Mr D. B. Clough wrote, forwarding resignation an account of his leaving the district. Decided to accept resignation. will tfegret, and the secretary was instructed to writ© to Mr Clough expressing the Society" 1 s thanks for past services. * Mr Spencer Coirrpton presented a full report of his organising tour, Which lias just been completed. It was decided that the report, as v submitted, be received, and Mr Compton he heartily thaii'ked for the work • done in forwarding the interests of the Society. Tt was decided, in accordance with a recommendation in Mr Compton's report, that at future competitions, winding competitors be ffllowed to take either cash or open orders for the [purchase of trophies.
