C-armichael, Minister for Labour, addressed the coal strikers at Woollongorig to-day, announcing that the proprietors agreed to the Government's proposals, and that it only remained for the men to go straight back to work. Some little doubt still exist-J as to whether work will be resumed, but the pit horses, which were turned out, are being brought back. PRIME MINISTER CONFERRED WITH. A DEADLOCK AXTTCIPATED. (Received Last Night, 9.10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, \pril 14. A representative of the Silverton Tramway C-nnpany conferred w : th the Hon. .lames MeGowen, regarding the strike. The result of the conference has not been disclosed, but it is believed that a deadlock will occur. SETTLED. N MEN READY TO RESUME. (Received this morning 12..j0 o'clock.) SYDNEY. April 14. , The Southern Coal strike has been settled. The men will resume as soon as the collieries are ready to receive them.
