WAIRARAPA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held in the Dominion Hall last evening, there being, twelve delegates present. The secretary presentee! the annual report and balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £2!. 3s_7d. The officers elected for the ensuing year wei-e as follow: —Patron, A. C. Major Eeq.; President, J. L. Hughes, Esq.; Vice-Presidents. Messrs. H Donald, A. P. Wliatmnn, A. W. Cave, E. Richards. I). McDonald, W. Moore, W. H. Booth; delegate to New Zealand Hockey Association, R. Hatch; sec-rotary and treasurer, A. C. Pragnell; Management Committee, Messrs C. Cole, R. Hatch, W. Fisher, W. G. Bannin, and W. S. L. Dickson. Mr Dixon laid a proposal before the meeting containing a suggestion to popularise hockey in the \Vairarapa. The opening date of the championship matches was fixed for the second Thursday in May. It wa's decided to hold an eleven-a-side tournament on June 3rd. The date for the nominations for the entering of teams was fixed for April 21st. A rote of thanks was passed td Mr J. B. Rue for his good work in forwarding the interests of the Hockey Referees' Association.
