THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
(To the Editor) Sir,—-In your issue of Wednesday vou mentioned that if Saturday is made the half-holiday, the children of the district will not he able to visit town as they have been in tlie habit of doing. You aiv quite correct; but you might, have gone further. The teachers of the Wairarapa hold Saturday classes at Masterton. I liave seen as many as sixty here on one Saturday. They come from a s fains Pahiatua in the north, and Martinborough in the south, and they all spend money in the town. If Saturday becomes the half-holiday, the trade of these teachers would be lost to Masterton. —I am, etc. TEACHER. Master-ton, April 10, 1913. CARDINAL MORAN ON BIBLE IN SCHOOLS. (To the Editor.)
