THE MAKURA.

A FURTHER MESSAGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Secretary of the General Post Office lias received the following telegram from the manager of the Union Steamship Company, Dunedin:— "Auckland manager has message from Makura which indicates bad weather has moderated, and expects to arrive at midnight Friday. No further' damage mentioned. ' We expect to despatch her from Auckland 5 p.m. on Saturday."
