The United States has decided to defer recognition of the Cliinese Republic, until a constitutional Assembly .has been fully organised. INAUGURATION OF PARLIAMENT. MEMBERS ARRIVE JN PEKIN. PEKIN, April 9. Six hundred senators and members of the House of Representatives have arrived here for the inauguration of Parliament. The Government's majority at the election: practically assured. General Yuan-Sliili-Kai, the President, will not attend the opening of Parliament owing to fears arising through the recent assassination of Sung, ex-Minister for Education. YUAN-SHIH-KAI'S MESSAGE. PEKIN, April 9. General Yuan-Shih-Kai. in his message to Parliament, .said he hoped the Republic would endure for ten thousand years.
