SOME PROBABLE CANDIDATES. There is likely to be fairly keen for the. nine seats on the Borough Council, at the to be hold on April 30th. It is probable that two or three of the retiring Councillors will not offer themselves for re-election. The Lab- ~ our Party will, it is said, run several candidates for the Council, but the only Labourite so far announced is Mr W. Kemp. A number of leading tradesmen intend entering the lists. Mr R. J. King has definitely decided to become a candidate, and Messrs W. G. Lamb, Harley Donald, Kemball, E. Pragnell and others are mentioned. For the Mayoralty, the names of several prominent townsmen have been mentioned, but so far no definite announcement has been made;
