AN AUCKLAND SOLICITOR. (By Telegraph. —Press Asxoriatwn.) . WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Ccmrt of Appeal sat this afternoon to hear an application from the Auckland District Law Society to make absolute a rale nisi (striking Henry Edward Elliott, of Opotiki, off the roll. The grounds of the application were that El'lott had misappropriated trust funds, and had also committed perjury in a judicial proceeding. Messrs Reed, K. 0., and E;>dean appeared for the Society, and Mr Blair represented Elliott. The Court ordered Elliott to be struck off the rolls. The majority of the Cburt were of opinion that .Elliott should- be, allowed to apply for readmission after three-years. Costs £<l 15s were allowed! to the Auckland District Law -Society.
