NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.' WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening wired as follows : Present indications are for high northerly and westerly- winds, veering to .southerly, Rmn is probable generally, with the rivers flooded in many parts of the South Island, and .-some snow, on the higher levels. The barometer will probably fall lower in the north, but corrrmence to rise in the South to-morrow with' colder weather following.
