WELLINGTON SLAUGHTERMEN RETURN TO WORK. ' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night, ive members of the Wellington Slaughtermen's Union, now on .strike, started work at the Gear Company's works this morning, and others have secured hooks, and will go on'killing to-morroiv. All the old hands offering cannot l>e accommodated, as the Company intendfe to .stick to those who came to its assistance after the strike began. Not more than onethnxl of those ivii:> went out will be able to secure their old positions. The new Union of .-iaughter'nen, when registered, will be known as .the Ngah&tiranga and Petone Union. A meeting of the men on Wednesday decided, on the inclusion of the word "Petone."
